The USPS Catalog Inventive has been updated to the USPS Catalog Insight Promotion, it is a promotional program offered to encourage businesses to use catalogs as part of their marketing strategy and earn a 10% discount when registration is approved. This incentive is designed to boost catalog mailings and customer engagement by reducing postage costs for eligible mailpieces. The Catalog Insights Promotion provides participating mailers with postage discounts for increasing their catalog mail volume compared to a predetermined baseline. By doing so, USPS aims to promote the use of catalogs as a tool to drive sales and engagement.

How can I take advantage of USPS Catalog Insight Promotion with Lob?

Eligibility requirements

Catalogs with the below properties are approved to participate in the program:

Physical properties:

• Binding: Bound along one edge by staples, stitching, glue, or other fastening methods.

• Minimum pages: At least 12 pages.

Content requirements:

• Product listings: Includes organized listings of products or services offered for sale.

• Visuals: Features images, photographs, or illustrations of products or services.

• Descriptions: Provides descriptive details about offerings, fulfillment information, and prices (or a method to determine prices).

Order placement information:

• Must include the means for readers to place an order, such as:

  • An order form

  • A phone number

  • A web address or another method to access one

• Fulfillment options for the products or services must be clear.

Mailable shapes and rates:

• Can be letter-shaped, flat-shaped, or parcel-shaped.

• Mailed as USPS Marketing Mail

  • Bound Printed Matter is not eligible for Catalog Insights Promotion.

When is the USPS Catalog Insights promotion live?

Lob will be supporting this promotion from 10/1/2025-06/30/2026.

Catalog mailings that qualify for the base promotion are also eligible to access the Add-Ons: Informed Delivery (1%) and Sustainability (1%).

Notify your Account Manager (AM) you would like to participate in the Catalog Insights program for your next qualified catalog send. Each catalog will receive a 10% discount on the postage, up to 12% when utilizing both Add-Ons.
